All reading rooms and stacks are open 98 hours a week, which is convenient for students and teachers to consult. The book sorting service is carried out by the students in the work-study area of Zhengzhou University Library in shifts and is managed daily.

About 2.49 million Chinese and foreign electronic books and 18000 Chinese and foreign electronic periodicals can be searched and used by all teachers and students through the campus network. In addition, there is the Dialog international online retrieval system, which can provide access to more than 600 large-scale professional databases. The above Chinese and foreign language databases provide 24×7 services through the campus network for all teachers and students to consult and retrieve at any time. The library attaches great importance to foreign exchanges and cooperation, and has established friendly and cooperative relations with some domestic university libraries, and established a joint relationship with the Information Management Department of Zhengzhou University, with 8 tutors for master students. The secretariat of the Library and Information Work Committee of colleges and universities in Henan Province and the management center, art center, engineering center and medical center of the document guarantee system of higher education in Henan Province are all located in Zhengzhou University Library, which is also the location of the national higher education document information service center. The Library Society of China University Students' Reading Committee is affiliated to the library.
