The difference between that fourth edition and the fifth edition of method of mathematical physics
The content has been adjusted. Methods of Mathematical Physics (fifth edition) is revised on the basis of the fourth edition and according to the current teaching practice. It consists of two parts: complex variable function theory and mathematical physical equation, with the establishment and solution of three definite solutions of partial differential equations in common physical problems as the central content. Different from the fourth edition, the first four editions of mathematics maintain the characteristics of close contact with physics and smooth explanation, and make appropriate adjustments and modifications to the content to meet the requirements of current teaching. It can be used as the teaching material of "Mathematical Physics Methods" course for physics and electronic engineering majors in colleges and universities, and can also be used by other related majors.
