Chinese language and literature major is the main major of Chinese department in Chinese universities in China. Peking University China Literature Department first established this major, and its predecessor was China Literature of Shi Jing University Hall. 1910 On March 3 1 day, Shi Jing University established the "China Literature Gate", which officially became the teaching system of liberal arts.
This is the earliest Chinese Department in China, and its establishment marks the beginning of the formation of a modern independent discipline of language and literature in China.
