What is the median?
The median is the median.

Median, also known as median, is a proper term in statistics. It is a number in the middle of a set of data arranged in sequence, representing a numerical value in a sample, population or probability distribution, which can be divided into equal upper and lower parts.

For a finite set of numbers, we can sort all the observed values and find the middle one as the median. If there are even numbers of observations, the average of the middle two values is usually taken as the median.
