Was Zhong Xiang called An Lu in ancient times? Are De 'an Prefecture and Anzhou Prefecture in Anlu? What does jurisdiction include?
Zhong Xiang once used the name An Lu. Both De 'an Prefecture and Anzhou Prefecture are in Anlu City. Jurisdiction can refer to the following:

The Historical Situation of Zhong Xiang:

In the Yuan Dynasty, Yunzhou was Anlu House, with a long life.

In April of the ninth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1376), Anlu Prefecture was reduced to Anlu Prefecture, and the abandoned Changshou County was merged into Anlu Prefecture.

In the tenth year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (153 1), Emperor Jiajing was born and made a fortune here, and Anlu House was promoted to Chengtianfu, one of the three directly under the central government, at the same level as Shuntianfu in Beijing and Yingtianfu in Nanjing. In the same year, the county was restored and named "Zhongxiang", which means "auspicious bell gathering". Zhong Xiang has been used since then.

In the second year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty (1645), Chengtianfu was changed to Anlufu, still ruling Zhongxiang.

Historical situation of Anlu:

Let's start with the Sui Dynasty. In 594, anlu county was established as a place of public security.

In the fourth year of Tang Wude (62 1), anlu county was changed to Anzhou and the Governor's Office was established.

During the Kaiyuan period, Anlu still set up the Doudufu, and in the first year of Tianbao (742), Anzhou changed to anlu county and set up the Doudufu.

In the first year of Song Xuanhe (1 1 19), Zhou was promoted to the government, and Anlu set up the De 'an government. De 'an Prefecture leads Anlu, Yingcheng, Xiaogan, Yingshan and Yunmeng counties. In the fourth year of Emperor Gaozong Jianyan in the Southern Song Dynasty (1 130), Anlu was the governor of Hanyang Town, De 'an Prefecture. In the third year of Shaoxing (1 133), De 'an House was still under the jurisdiction of Jinghu North Road.

In the 13th year of Yuan Dynasty (1276), Anlu was still ruled by De 'an House and was placed under the Xuanwei Department of Jinghu Hubei Road.

In the first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1367), Anlu County belonged to De 'an House. At that time, De 'an government led Anlu, Yunmeng, Yingcheng, Yingshan, Suizhou and Lihu Guangxing provinces.

Hongwu nine years (1376), the official residence of Huangzhou, 1 1 year belongs to Wuchang. 1380, reverted to government, public security land, Wuchang Road.

In the third year of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1664), Anlu was ruled by De 'an House, which was subordinate to Hubei Political Department, and the Han Dynasty was assigned to Huang Dedao.

It can be seen that Anlu House actually refers to Zhongxiang in history, and at the same time Anlu is also called De 'an House. In addition, Anlu County has always been referred to as Anlu City in history.

In the ninth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1376), Anlu and De 'an were both reduced to states, namely Anlu House and De 'an House, which were under the jurisdiction of Changshou County and Anlu County.

In the tenth year of Jiajing, Anlufu was promoted to Chengtianfu, and Zhongxiang County was established at the same time, which was used until the second year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty.

Therefore, it can be said that Anlu Prefecture and Anlu County existed at the same time in history.

There are some data to illustrate the above assertion.

Hubei Province: Huguang in Ming Dynasty and Huguang Province in early Qing Dynasty; In the third year of Emperor Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1664), Hu and Guang were divided into two parts, with Dongting Lake as the boundary, Hunan Province in the south and Hubei Province in the north, which was the beginning of the establishment of Hubei Province and the administration of Wuchang Prefecture.

At that time, there were ten states in Hubei Province, namely Wuchang, Hanyang, Huangzhou, Anlu, De 'an, Jingzhou, Xiangyang, Yunyang, Yichang and Shinan. It was not until the early years of the Republic of China that the state and government were abolished.

In the Qing Dynasty, the term "Fan Chong, Tired and Difficult" was used as the official basis for political division. According to Yongzheng's explanation, traffic is frequent, administrative business is complicated, taxes and grain are delayed, customs are impure, and crime is becoming more and more difficult. The higher the level of a county, the more words there are; On the contrary, the fewer words. Some counties with the words "complex" and "difficult" are called "most important" or "essential", while counties with one word or no words are called "short", three words (complex, difficult and complicated) are called "essential" and two words (complex, difficult, tired, difficult and exhausted) are called "essential".
