There is a charge by weight for sending things from Japan to China. I once shipped 23 kilograms of books, 6550 yen. I called the post office before and they will pick it up at home (where you live). It will be very expensive to ship it in winter. It costs 5000 yen for 3505 grams (just three kilograms). I still suggest shipping books.
