Handan Foreign Language School affiliated to Beijing Foreign Studies University (also known as Handan No.3 Middle School) was established in 1956. It is a provincial model high school in Hebei Province, the third affiliated school of Beijing Foreign Studies University established by Beijing Foreign Studies International Education Group, and the only Tsinghua University education and teaching experimental base in Hebei Province.

Handan is the only foreign language school offering English, French, German, Japanese, Russian and Spanish. As a provincial model high school in Hebei Province and a window school for opening to the outside world, the school has been at the forefront of basic education reform in the whole province and even the whole country.

Conditions for running a school:

The school has advanced facilities and elegant environment. There are 60 standard classrooms and 5 small English classrooms in the teaching building of junior and senior high schools, equipped with broadband network and video-on-demand equipment. The reconstructed laboratory building has 12 first-class laboratories and 3 computer language laboratories.

There are modern libraries with more than 60,000 books, 7 newspaper reading rooms, students' multimedia reading rooms, teachers' electronic lesson preparation rooms, science and technology lecture halls, observation platforms, music classrooms, art classrooms and other facilities in the comprehensive building.
