The college library has a collection of 876,000 books, which is shared with more than 2 million books of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology. There are five databases of Chinese electronic journals, five databases of foreign electronic journals 1 1, six databases of e-books, four databases of dissertations, eight comprehensive databases, two yearbooks and databases, one full-text database of China newspaper resources 1, and one e-book 1 more than ten thousand copies.

Gannan Institute of Science and Technology, formerly known as the College of Applied Science of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, was founded in 200 1. On May 24th, 20021,the school was officially unveiled and renamed Gannan Institute of Science and Technology.
