What is the relationship between mathematics and logical thinking?
From Marx's point of view, you should treat this problem dialectically. Mathematics is a subject that studies concepts such as quantity, structure, change and spatial model. By using abstract and logical reasoning, the shape and motion of objects are counted, calculated, measured and observed. Mathematicians have extended these concepts in order to express new conjectures with formulas and establish strictly deduced truths from properly selected axioms and definitions. Logical thinking, also known as theoretical thinking, is a rational cognitive process in which people actively reflect objective reality with the help of concepts, judgments, reasoning and other forms of thinking. It comes into being and develops as an analysis of cognitive thinking, its structure and behavior law. Only through logical thinking can people grasp the essential provisions of specific objects and then understand the objective world. It is the advanced stage of human cognition, that is, the stage of rational cognition. Two things belong to different categories. Mathematics can help cultivate logical thinking, and good logical thinking can promote mathematics learning.
