Its definition is to cultivate a group of high-quality high-tech talents on the basis of nine-year compulsory education, and their students have the skills to be competent for their jobs after graduation.
Secondary vocational school students are not only high school equivalent, but also secondary vocational education, because secondary education in China includes vocational high schools, technical schools and secondary specialized schools. Together, they form a complete educational system, which provides different educational choices for junior high school graduates.
Secondary vocational education is influenced by high fever and people's traditional ideas. Students in secondary vocational schools should spend two and a half years in school (the last half year is social practice, and some schools call it work-study alternation).
Students mainly study vocational skills, but also learn some cultural knowledge (Chinese, mathematics, foreign languages). From 20 17 to 20 18, there were 2.336 million secondary vocational school graduates (subject to the students who finally got the diploma).
According to the national unified examination for enrollment of ordinary colleges and universities, only ordinary high school graduates and students with the same academic ability can participate.
Graduates of previous secondary vocational schools can choose to take the separate entrance examination for secondary vocational students organized by higher vocational colleges in March (commonly known as single move, but they need to sign up for the general college entrance examination and get the admission ticket), or the general college entrance examination held in June, and they can only choose one, but they cannot repeat it. Students who are not admitted to the single-recruit exam can take the general college entrance examination in June.
