1. 1953, the Academy of Sciences organized a delegation to go abroad, headed by the famous scientist Qian Sanqiang. Members include Hua, Zhao Jiuzhang and Zhu Xian. In his spare time, Hua wrote a couplet: "The top three are Korea, Zhao and Wei", seeking this couplet. ?

The "top three" here refers to Korea, Zhao and Wei San during the Warring States Period, but it implies the name of the head of the delegation, Comrade Qian Sanqiang. It is necessary not only to solve the traditional difficulties of number-to-number couplets, but also to embed the name of another scientist in the bottom couplets.

After a while, when Hua saw that everyone had no bottom line, he revealed his bottom line: "Hook, strand and string are nine chapters." Nine Chapters is a famous mathematical work in ancient China.

The "Nine Chapters" here happen to be the name of another member of the delegation-atmospheric physicist Zhao Jiuzhang. Hua's wonderful pair made the audience fall for it.

2. China strives to find a way to combine mathematics with industrial and agricultural practice. After a period of practice, he found that the overall planning method and optimization method in mathematics can be widely used in industrial and agricultural production, which can improve work efficiency and change the face of work management.

Therefore, while giving lectures at the University of Science and Technology, he led students to promote the optimization method and overall planning method in industrial and agricultural practice.

At the beginning of 1964, he wrote to Mao Zedong, expressing his determination to take the road of combining workers and peasants. On March 18 of the same year, Mao Zedong wrote back: "I have read both poems and letters. Top gun, congratulations. "

He wrote "Brief Introduction and Supplement to the Master Planning Law" and "Brief Introduction and Supplement to the Optimal Selection Law", and personally led the teachers and students of China University of Science and Technology to some enterprises and factories to promote and apply the "double methods" to serve industrial and agricultural production.

My father Hua Ruidong runs a small grocery store, and my mother is a virtuous housewife. Hua's hometown got a son at the age of 40 and named him Hua. This "Luo", that is, "basket", symbolizes "surplus grain at home" and also means "sitting in a basket and betting" as the saying goes in the alloy altar.

"Geng" and "root" are homophonic, which means "the same Geng for a hundred years" and also means that "the Chinese family has roots from now on"

When Hua was in the second grade of junior high school, a French student named Wang Weike taught mathematics. Once, Miss Wang asked an interesting question in class. After a long time, none of the students could answer. When Mr. Wang scanned the class with his eyes, most students bowed their heads for fear of being called by the teacher.

Only one student is nervously calculating with the pen on the desk. After a while, the students raised their hands to ask for an answer. He said loudly, "Twenty-three." Teacher Wang asked, "Do you think his answer is right?" Silence returned to the classroom, and the students just looked at the student who stood up in surprise. He is Hua.

Teacher Wang said, "He got it right." Then the teacher told everyone that this is a famous topic in Sun Tzu's Art of War in ancient China. In the battle between Chu and Han, Han Xin, the general of Hanwang and Liu Bang, also recruited in this way! Several western scholars respectfully call it "Sun Zi Theorem".

Teacher Wang praised Hua as a studious child with a bright future.

After finishing the first grade of junior high school, Hua dropped out of school because of his poor family, so he had to stand in front of the counter for his parents, but he still insisted on teaching himself mathematics.

Through his unremitting efforts, his paper "Why can't the solution of Su Jiaju's algebraic quintic equation be established" was discovered by Professor Xiong Qinglai, head of the Department of Mathematics of Tsinghua University, and invited him to Tsinghua University.

China dropped out of junior high school and was hired as a university teacher, which is unprecedented in the history of Tsinghua University.
