How to teach yourself to be a data analyst?
The arrival of the era of big data means that the speed of data growth is rising rapidly. On the one hand, internet plus's economic model makes traditional industries also produce huge amounts of data. On the other hand, traditional Internet companies are doing well now, and the industrial chain is constantly improving. For example, the BAT giant generates an amazing amount of data every day.

In this context, data analysts came into being and flourished, and data analysts have become hot jobs at present. So how do you become a data analyst? In my opinion, data analysts need to learn from three aspects: statistics, analytical skills and business common sense. Here, I will focus on the latter two.

First, analytical skills.

Excel, as a classic data analysis tool, is an indispensable arsenal for data analysts. Flexible Excel has two classic tools, pivot table and flexible function. Among the functions, Vlookup is particularly important. This function is used for field matching and is widely used in practical work.

Excel is often used to describe basic data, and the sample size it can handle is very limited. In the era of big data, in order to solve the query of massive data, SQL came into being. SQL can be basically divided into four modules: add, delete, change and query, among which the specific syntax includes where, select and so on.

In addition to Excel and SQL, data mining tools are also essential. If you have no programming foundation, you can learn SPSS. And if there is programming, it is recommended to learn Python and R.

After analyzing skills, let's talk about business knowledge.

Business knowledge is not easy to learn, and it is essentially necessary to learn in the enterprise. However, good books can also give you a certain understanding of business knowledge. Recommend two books: Growing Hacker and Lean Data Analysis.
