[Edit this paragraph] Personal experience
As the saying goes: "It is difficult to produce bright, fragrant, cold-resistant and proud snowflakes in the greenhouse. Only after suffering and tempering can people hope to succeed." Comrade Hua is a famous mathematician in China, and his success benefits from his bumpy experience. He graduated from junior high school in Jintan Middle School on 1924, but because of his poor family, he had to drop out of school and become a shop assistant after finishing junior high school. He suffered from typhoid fever when he was 18 years old. His left leg is disabled. /kloc-teach in Tsinghua University after 0/930. 1936 Visiting and studying in Cambridge University, UK. 1938 became a professor in The National SouthWest Associated University after returning to China. 1946 went to the United States as a researcher at Princeton Institute of Mathematics and a professor at Princeton University and the University of Illinois. 1950 returned to China. Director and honorary director of Institute of Mathematics and Institute of Applied Mathematics of China Academy of Sciences, chairman and honorary director of Chinese Mathematical Society, director of National Mathematical Competition Committee, foreign academician of American National Academy of Sciences, academician of Third World Academy of Sciences, academician of Bavarian Academy of Sciences of the Federal Republic of Germany, deputy director, vice-chairman and presidium member of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry Department of China Academy of Sciences, director and vice-president of Mathematics Department of China University of Science and Technology, and vice-chairman of China Association for Science and Technology. The State Council is a member of the Academic Degrees Committee. He was a member of the first to sixth the NPC Standing Committee and vice-chairman of the sixth China People's Political Consultative Conference. He was awarded honorary doctorates by Nancy University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of Illinois. Mainly engaged in the research and teaching of analytic number theory, matrix geometry, canonical group, automorphic function theory, multiple complex variable function theory, partial differential equation, high-dimensional numerical integration and other fields, and has made outstanding achievements. In the 1940s, he solved the historical problem of estimating Gaussian complete triangular sum. The results of G.H. Hardy and J.E. Littlewood on the Welling problem and E. Wright on the Tully problem have been greatly improved and are still the best records.
Since the 1960s, he has applied mathematical methods to practice, and screened out the optimization method and overall planning method aiming at improving work efficiency, and achieved remarkable economic benefits.
Comrade Hua is a contemporary self-taught master of science and a world-famous mathematician. He is the founder and pioneer of China's research on analytic number theory, canonical group, matrix geometry, automorphism function theory and multiple complex variable function theory, which laid the foundation for matrix geometry in the future.
[Edit this paragraph] China-professional contribution
The overall planning method and optimization method in Pinghua, with easy-to-understand language and vivid methods, enable women and children to understand and master the application, and achieve the effect of increasing production, improving quality and reducing consumption. Hua is known as "the people's mathematician". During this period, he also cooperated with Professor Wang Yuan to carry out the application research of modern number theory method in approximate analysis, and the obtained result was called "Hua Wang Fa".
He brilliantly summed up his experience in popularizing mathematical methods for many years, and put forward and solved the purpose, content and method of popularizing mathematical methods, that is, what he called "three principles", that is, who is (1)? (2) What technology? (3) How to promote it?
[Edit this paragraph] Hua-personal honor
Professor Hua's research work in the field of mathematics is extensive and groundbreaking, with more than 65,438+050 papers and 65,438+00 books published. Selected Works of Huakepu was published by Shanghai Education Publishing House in 1985, and a book presentation ceremony was held in Beijing Science Hall.
