Max Born (1882~ 1970) is a theoretical physicist of German Jewish origin and one of the founders of quantum mechanics. Because of the basic research of quantum mechanics, especially the statistical interpretation of wave function, he won the 1954 Nobel Prize in Physics. From 190 1, he studied in universities such as breslau, Heidelberg, Zurich and G? ttingen, first in law and ethics, then in mathematics, physics and astronomy. 1907 received a doctorate. 19 12 years, he published a famous paper on spatial lattice vibration in cooperation with sildor von Carmen, and began his career of establishing lattice theory in the following decades. 192 1 became the head of the department of physics at the university of g? ttingen. 1936 Professor of Edinburgh University, 1937 Member of the Royal Society of London.
