(1) How to evaluate the font design book "Required Course of Font Design for Recording Creation"

There are many cases, but it feels no different from other self-written design books.

Zhiyiou @ Han Hong Didi pointed out that the Chinese font part of the book was suspected of copying the book China Font Designer: Life in a Word (edited by Liao Jie).

The explanatory diagram of western fonts completely copies Kobayashi's "Western fonts: background knowledge and usage of fonts" (translated by Chen Rong and Liu Qing), so I won't elaborate on it. Anyone who has seen "western fonts" can see it.

⑵ Course description of art design specialty

, ideological and moral cultivation and legal basis (the course description is omitted, according to the unified requirements of the national examination Committee)

2.* * * Introduction to Thought, * * * Theory and * * * Correct Important Thought (the course description is omitted, according to the unified requirements of the National Examination Committee) 1. Design basis.

Design foundation is a compulsory course for art design majors (junior college) and also a basic theoretical course for art design majors. This course is a basic design course, which mainly tells the basic theories of graphic design art, modern design art, environmental design art, industrial product design art and traditional folk crafts, and summarizes, appreciates and evaluates outstanding works. This paper introduces the design ideas and methods of some famous designers in various fields, and understands the angle considered by designers. The course involves the knowledge of design art history, design art criticism and aesthetics, but it is also different from other history courses and has strong practicality. The course uses a large number of design works of art, which gives the audience a strong emotional impact.

(3) How to guide the course of fine arts font design is that the course content is interesting, preferably fun.

Nowadays, popular fonts are quite popular, widely used and interesting. You can try.

(4) What are the key points and principles of art font design?

Words are emotional, and every word has its own temperament. Therefore, when designing fonts, we should grasp the temperament of the text itself to design. What are the key points and principles of art font design?

1. The temperament of the text itself:

The word "temperament" is not only used to describe people, but also the corresponding font itself exists. Every character has different temperament, such as "beating", "ploughing", "thinking" and "setting". All the characters are alone or with different characters.

2. Font recognition:

Recognition is very important for font design. When you deal with those vertical and horizontal points, you should consider whether the font you designed can be recognized in the eyes of others, whether the words in this group are somewhat similar, and whether the information will be inaccurate and lead to misunderstanding. For example, "noon" and "cow", "thousand" and "dry" and so on, all of which need careful consideration.

3. Selection of font form (characters):

With the meaning and identifiability of fonts, the next thing to consider is the choice of font forms, whether to use flat or slender, or even calligraphy or comics. The choice of this step can not be ignored, because these forms bring people different feelings: flat-steady, slender and powerful-the thinnest calligraphy-tradition and culture.

Note: the characteristics of the above four forms are just routines, usually corresponding to each other in design and processing, and the boundaries are not so clear!

4. Font center of gravity control:

These points have all been mentioned above. What is considered here is the center of gravity control of this group of fonts, which is to control the center of gravity of this group of fonts in the middle, up or down, and even some of them are left or right in the design, in order to achieve overall balance or achieve a dynamic aesthetic feeling! This step is more conducive to the development of stroke changes in the future!

5] Is the art font design included in the graphic design course?

Life is like this. It's good to know what I need, and I want to realize what I want happily. Font design is only a small part of design. If you want to design a good work, it is not comprehensive to learn font design well. You have a lot to learn, such as basic colors, composition and so on!

[6] Who can help me write an article about learning font design, about 500 words, original?

When I first started designing sharp lines, I felt that designing fonts was emotional, just like painting oil paintings before. In the past, I found many sharp lines, some words were upside down, and some words were swollen. Later, I found that font design should be very rational. I began to think about summing up some laws and pieced together some laws in my perceptual thinking. Even I believe that in the future, we can know that some poetic Chinese characters are actually some numbers with perfect functions and rules from some perfect calligraphy characters, or from Song style and bold type. I also know that there is still a long way to go. After all, it is a huge and complicated database. But in the sharp lines I designed. This huge database gave me a simplified and rounded design.

I regard Chinese characters as an irregular and complicated geometric pattern, although I can't attach formulas to every word. I also think we should try our best to put things that are not contradictory, chaotic and out of order.

I have summarized some rules below. I can't tell you how many rules there are or how precise these things are. I'm not very good at math. I really hope that someone who knows math can ask and solve problems. I hope I can find more and deeper experience in my work to share with you.

As for some capable font designers in China, I hope they can communicate more. Indeed, regarding the subject and technology of font design, because everyone uses a computer font library, they don't design their own fonts. Compared with the era without fonts, we have indeed regressed. Many designers have lost this ability. As a result, the quality of fonts designed by many individuals is not high, and some of them are obviously "sloppy in computer processing". I hope you can design more fonts. But it is gratifying that in recent years, some institutions and groups have begun to attach importance to this industry and put in resources.

Sometimes when we design fonts, some fonts are obviously the same in length and width, but we still feel that some words are different in size. The following are medium-sized fonts in. In other words, literally, the overall white and black areas are similar. We can easily find that it is easier to make thin and thick characters than to design thick ones. However, words with medium and coarse weights have the highest usage rate and are the most difficult to do. I found that Mona's set of bold characters were all designed in thin bold, and some of them let some negative characters stick to the side, which was ugly. This practice is wrong, so don't learn it. Theoretically, the medium thickness can be reduced and used as a fine font, but the fine font cannot be bold. This is some of my experiences and setbacks in making a font.

The concept and significance of character design have been briefly explained.

Text design Text design is also an important part of screen design. According to the different uses of the text in the page version, it uses the basic fonts provided by the system software and artistic word processing methods such as image processing to artistically process and arrange the text, so as to achieve the purpose of coordinating the page effect and spreading information more effectively. In the modern design field where computers are popular, a large part of the work of character design is done by computers instead of human brains (many graphic design softwares have the guidance of making artistic Chinese characters and provide dozens of ready-made fonts). However, the audience of design works is always the human brain, not the computer. So in some aspects that need to involve people's thinking, computers can never replace the human brain, such as creativity and aesthetics.

The main function of writing is to convey the author's intention and all kinds of information to the public in visual communication. To achieve this goal, we should consider the overall appeal effect of words and give people a clear visual impression. Therefore, the characters in the design should avoid complexity and confusion, make people easy to identify and understand, and avoid designing for the sake of design, forgetting that the fundamental purpose of text design is to better and effectively convey the author's intention and express the design theme and idea.

Related concepts of font design.

Character design should obey the style characteristics of the work. The design of characters can not be divorced from the style and characteristics of the whole work, let alone conflict with it. Otherwise, it will destroy the appeal of the characters. Generally speaking, characters can be divided into the following categories: (1) dignified and beautiful. This type of fonts is beautiful and fresh, (2) elegant in style, and (3) gorgeous and noble. (4) strong and straight. The font is vigorous, (5) concise, (6) modern and (7) strong visual impact. (8) Deep and heavy. Regular fonts, (9) sense of weight, (10) solemn and dignified, (1 1) unshakable. (13) cheerful and brisk. The font is lively, (14) jumps brightly, (15) has a strong sense of rhythm and (16) gives people a sense of vitality. (17) vigorous and simple. This kind of font is simple and unpretentious, (18) full of ancient charm, and (19) can give people an experience of missing the lost time. (20) novel and unique. The shape of the font is wonderful, (2 1) is different from (22) is different from (23), (24) has outstanding personality, (25) gives people a unique impression and (26) is novel.
