How to use radicals to look up dictionaries?
There are three conditions for using radical search method: ① knowing the number of strokes; 2 will find the side; 3 will be fluent. If you know how to write this word, but you can't read it, or you don't understand its meaning, you need to look it up by radical search. The method of finding radicals: compound words generally take ideographic radicals as radicals, and single words take the first stroke as radicals in stroke order. For example, the word "ground" is shaped next to it, not radical. The first painting of "Kai" is "One (Horizontal)", which is a radical. Steps of radical search method: Step 1, confirm the radicals of this word and count the strokes of the radicals. Step 2, according to the number of strokes of this radical, find this radical in the "radical directory". Step 3, according to the page number indicated in the radical directory, find the column of this radical in the word lookup table. The fourth step is to remove radicals and accurately count the strokes of words. Step 5, find the page number of the word in the dictionary text in this radical column, and turn to the text to find the word.
