A paper basically consists of the following nine parts: preparation, structure, title, abstract, introduction, conclusion, body, conclusion and thanks. Let's take a look at the places that need special attention in paper writing:
Preparation (preparatory work)
Preparation is to collect writing materials, find inspiration and writing direction. This step will basically be completed in the library, of course, it can also be properly combined with the network resource library.
Structure (structural frame is the key)
The writing structure of a paper should be composed of two triangles: an inverted triangle above and a regular triangle below. Maybe freshmen don't understand, and there's nothing to see. These two triangles are actually: the topic can be wider, then the research direction should be narrower, and the final conclusion should be divergent. There must be a declaratory statement before and after the paper, and express your views in the least words to attract your professor.
Title (the title should be clear and short)
Express your unique theme to stimulate readers' interest, but remember that abbreviations and your own results can't appear in the title.
Abstract (Abstract is actually a condensed version of the whole paper)
Concise and to the point, generally no more than 200 words, in a single paragraph, the writing order of the abstract can be written as follows: introducing the main research object (subject), experimental design (design), experimental steps (procedures) and final results (results).
Introduction (Introduction needs the same simplification)
The order is general background introduction, other people's work achievement, own research purpose and work introduction. Among them, when introducing other people's work, you only need to introduce the most relevant aspect of yourself (veryrelevant), and you don't need to explain the details of your work introduction, because this should be placed in the text. Don't forget to prepare a declaration before introducing your work.
Body (body part)
This paper is divided into three parts: methods, results and discussion:
1. method, introduce your own experimental scheme in detail, and let others repeat their own experimental process. For the general experimental scheme, it can be short, and the focus should be on your own original program. Introduce them in the order of experiments. For the convenience of reading the article, don't use too many levels of subheadings, such as subsections.
2. The results are expressed in words, tables and figures. The table should not be used too much, and the figure must ensure clear lines and clear labels, and explain some conclusions in its own results when necessary.
3. Discussion, this part is for future research, in which I put forward my own questions or assumptions, compare with others' achievements, hint at my main gains, and prepare for the following conclusions.
Conclusion (conclusion, a very important summary part)
The conclusion part should be short, neat and concise, and be willing to end your thesis; ; If your own paper is only part of the project, explain it a little. Revison is to look back after writing to see if there are any logical errors, whether the reader's interests have been taken into account, and whether his declarative statement is satisfactory or not.
Confirmation (confirmation is necessary)
The above are the writing points of each part of the paper. China students who are going to study in Britain should be prepared psychologically. Although the school has not officially started, prospective international students can learn about it first, which will definitely help your studies.
