Editor's note:

The word picture book comes from Japan, which means the combination of painting and writing. After World War II, Japan began to carry out domestic reforms. At the same time of economic recovery, Japan attaches great importance to the development of children's education.

In Asia, Japan is a big picture book country with a relatively mature development history. Among domestic children's picture books, classic picture books such as You Look Delicious and Hungry Snake, which are deeply loved by children, have been in the forefront of the list for many years. Miyanishi and Yoshitaka Shinto have a large number of fans in China. It can be said that Japan is one of the important countries that introduced the concept of picture books into China and opened the horizon of readers in China. Their development course and excellent works are worth collecting and understanding by domestic picture book practitioners, which is helpful for us to learn from the experience of absorbing advanced cultural industries.

This red cloak invited Kong Yangjun, who is studying for a doctorate in children's literature in Japan, to introduce the important awards of Japanese children's picture books and literature. Let's have a look!
