Can I visit Xiangshan Campus of China Academy of Fine Arts now?
Xiangshan Campus of China Academy of Fine Arts can be visited now.

Xiangshan Campus of China Academy of Fine Arts is located at the eastern edge of the mountains in the south of Hangzhou. It is a new campus built by China Academy of Fine Arts for its schools of architecture, design, public art, film and television animation and basic teaching. Many teachers, undergraduates and graduate students teach, study and live here.

The first and second phases of the campus were designed by Wang Shu, especially the second phase of Xiangshan project, which is amazing in both volume and construction scale. He designed the campus as a building complex open to the countryside. The motion curve of the building itself echoes the ups and downs of the hills, forming a visual connection. Cloisters and corridors shuttle inside and outside the building like snakes.

Among them, there is a brick-red geometric exterior wall resembling Monument Valley, and there is a leafy tree on the side, which is full of literary flavor and is very suitable for taking pictures. When the sun is shining, every photo taken here is a blockbuster.

Wang Shu graduated from the Department of Architecture of Nanjing Institute of Technology and won the Oscar Pritzker Award in the field of architecture on 20 12. Xiangshan Campus and Ningbo Museum are his famous works worthy of attention, as well as his representative works that established his position in the field of architecture in China.

Xiangshan Campus of China Academy of Fine Arts is surrounded by a hill named Elephant, which is about 50 meters high. Two small rivers flowing from the Shanxi side bypass the north and south sides of the mountain, meet at the eastern end of Xiangshan and meander into Qiantang River.

200 1 design of the first phase of Xiangshan north campus was completed at the end of 2004. It is a complex composed of 10 building and two covered bridges, including public art college, film and television animation college, library, gymnasium and so on. The second phase of the campus south of Xiangshan was designed in 2004 and completed in 2007. It consists of 10 large buildings and two small buildings, such as Architectural Art College, Design Art College, Experimental Processing Center, Art Museum, Gymnasium, Student Dormitory and Canteen.
