In 20 14, the "Little Big Reading Club" is about to usher in its 22nd year. Founder Lin Zhenmei took "parent-child * * * reading" as the reading club goal from the beginning, and "small and big"-children holding hands with adults and * * * creating a good relationship between picture books and people as its spirit. The natural reading mode of "being loyal to the original work and not adding anything" has gradually attracted many adults from all over Taiwan Province Province, and started parent-child reading activities of "reading clubs" in their living rooms, campuses and community spaces.
Because the purpose of the book club is to promote "parent-child reading", when "picture books, children and adults" coexist, they are bound by the close trilateral relationship. Children are the masters of picture books, and picture books are the medium for adults and children to interact, while adults tell their children the contents of picture books and let them feel the life of picture books. Based on this concept, the storytelling mode of "original picture book delivery" adhered to by "big and small reading clubs" was formed. In the process of telling stories, adults are very careful not to embellish and cut corners. And try to bring the original intention of the author's creation to children with a natural and emotional voice.
In fact, the so-called "small and broad" is just a way of reading with respect for the text and children. Reading aloud, called "READ ALOUD" in English, is a traditional bedtime story in the western world. "Read me a story!" Before going to bed, children often talk to parents or other adults who send him/her to bed. Taking children to sleep quietly reading books is like a bedtime ceremony, which is quiet and peaceful. Reading aloud is also the most commonly used way to tell stories to children in libraries around the world, because it is the closest to books and the essence of reading.
