Two. Brief introduction of Guangzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College
The school's predecessor was Guangzhou Railway Machinery School, which was established in 1975 under the former Ministry of Railways. In 2000, Guangzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College was established. In September 2004, Guangzhou Railway (Group) Company (now China Railway Guangzhou Bureau Group Co., Ltd., referred to as Guangzhou Railway Group) was handed over to the Guangzhou Municipal Government for holding. It is the only full-time general vocational college in Guangdong Province that mainly trains rail transit professionals, and it is also an important base for staff training of rail transit enterprises in South China. At present, it is a national backbone vocational college, a national high-quality vocational college, the first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot colleges of the Ministry of Education, and a first-class construction unit in Guangdong Province. It has successively won the honorary titles of "National Vocational College Employment Competitiveness Model School", "National Top 100 Vocational Education Employment", "National Vocational College Innovation and Invention Education Base" and "Guangdong Province Rule of Law Model School".
At present, the college has several campuses, such as Shimen, Huanggang, Zhixin South Campus, Chaoyang Training Center and Huadu Work-integrated Learning Demonstration Park. By giving full play to the dual advantages of the industry background and the strong support of the government, the College established the Guangdong Provincial Demonstration Vocational Education Group-Guangzhou Industrial Transportation Vocational Education Group. Take the lead in establishing the "Belt and Road" rail transit industry-education integration alliance in South China (hereinafter referred to as "Industry-education integration alliance"), actively join the national "Belt and Road" initiative and the "China high-speed rail going out" strategy, jointly cultivate and bring up localized talents, and export the teaching and training standards of rail transit vocational education. With the approval of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, a joint training agreement for Chinese-foreign cooperation in running railway traffic operation specialty (full-time junior college education) was formally signed with Belarusian national chiao tung university. 17 foreign students from four higher vocational colleges in Laos have officially started their study and life in the college. They are the first batch of full-time foreign students with higher vocational education in Guangzhou.
