Brief introduction of Vienna University of Economics, Austria
Little friends who plan to study in Austria, do you know Vienna University in Austria? Come and have a look! Welcome to reading.

On September 20 13, Wu moved to a new campus near Pratt Park. The traffic is between Messe-Prater and Kreiau in U2. The school looks very modern, especially the most famous LC (Library Center), not to mention the inside of the library! There are six floors in all. The fourth floor is a public area where you can chat and eat snacks. On the fifth and sixth floors, you can read and watch the luxurious scenery, and you can also see the Ferris wheel in Vienna. When you enter the library, you must lock your bag and coat in the cupboard. You can only take what you need for study and put it in a transparent plastic bag provided by Wu. Every building in the school is designed by designers from different countries, including Spain, Britain, Germany, Japan and Australia. Wu, they are very famous in business schools in Europe, and even many students from Germany or other eastern European countries come to study (non-exchange students). Master Wu class 20 1 1 European ranking 18. My German friend said that the main reason for Wu's exchange was that it was a good school. European business school ranking platform GBSAC

There are restaurants in the school.

(1) Mensa, a student restaurant, has 1~8 stalls, serving different foods every day. The price is around five euros, and the weight is quite sufficient. You can download Mensa APP first and look at the menus of different booths every day. Remember to pay for food in Mensa. You must first store the values in Mensa's internal machine in the student ID card, and pay the bill with the student ID card when you check out. As long as you order a full meal, you can get a free drink from the beverage machine with your student ID card. Mensa is only open until 3 pm.

(2) Asian restaurants, the daily special is about eight euros, and the food is quite good. (3) Ancher can buy suitable bread, sandwiches and coffee. (3) Local students are also popular to buy bread with ham or sliced meat in spar, but there are various names, most of which are mixed with a lot of meat. If you want to study hard, you can also learn the local culture. (4) Library coffee shop? Just next to the first floor of LC, there are sandwiches recommended by everyone. It's quite heavy, about ten euros. (5) caf of TC building? On the second floor (or third floor) of TC? ), and some simple cupcakes or sandwiches, and just made coffee. It's convenient to have a rest after class or before class and eat something. (6) Vending machines, all buildings can be seen everywhere. There are inexpensive super refreshing coffee machines and vending machines for chocolate biscuit drinks. However, vending machines are much more expensive than supermarkets. If you want to save money, you should practice before class.

Second, course selection

Wu's course selection is based on a system called "First come, first served". The date of course selection will be set early, and the international office will send a letter to inform the date and time in advance, and remember to convert it into Taiwan Province time. Before choosing a course, you can write down the code of the course you want, so it will be faster and easier to choose the course you want. If you don't choose your favorite class, you can go to the international office to write and communicate with people. You don't have to be too nervous, but it's safer to prepare some registered classes. Course information was also released about a month ago, and each class

Class time is different, students arrange their own courses to avoid rushing to class. Teacher Wu doesn't accept rushing classes! Wu's courses are divided into intensive classes and general classes. The intensive course will end in a week or a few days. Although it is hard, it is a good choice for students who want to have more time to travel, and they will learn no less than ordinary courses. You can watch the teaching film (ing/courses/course-registration/en/) first, and you will know more about the process.

Three. Life and cultural exchange

1. Residence

About a semester before the start of school, the school mainly cooperated with oead leasing company. Accommodation is also a first-win system. After receiving the notice, everyone should try to start choosing their own wishes as soon as possible! Some of them will be robbed soon.

I live on Sechshauser street? E 3 1, in l? Ngenfeldgasse Station is the intersection of U4 and U6, about 40-50 minutes away from the school (plus the time to walk to the classroom). In fact, it is highly recommended for younger brothers and sisters to choose. The community is very safe, with many homes, supermarkets and convenient transportation. There is also a 57A bus in front of the dormitory to MuseumQuartier and the famous Maria Street. Although choosing accommodation in oead is a little more expensive than finding it yourself, the cleaning aunt in oead dormitory comes to clean the room once a week, and there is a washing machine in the dormitory. Washing clothes is 2 euros, and drying clothes is free. After opening an account, you can transfer some money to the quick function, so you can use the bank card to wash clothes. Personally, it is not recommended to transfer too much money to the Quick card, because few shops in Vienna actually accept this payment method, so it is better to estimate the small amount by yourself. In addition, if you want to live near the city, it is near Karsplaz or Rathhaus (left circle). However, the traffic in Vienna is very convenient, and it is easy to get to where you want to go by bus or Uban! You can download Quandoapp, which provides the traffic information of Vienna, as well as all the transportation modes and time estimates of your departure and destination. Personally, I think it is very accurate.

Eat something

Eating in Europe is more expensive than in Taiwan Province Province, and going out to restaurants costs about 7~ 15 euros. You might as well go to the supermarket to buy something to do in the dormitory, or at the station or roadside, you can eat a full kebab for about 4 euros, and the sausage stand also has various sausage noodles for about 3~5 euros. As far as restaurants are concerned, I'd like to recommend some to my brothers and sisters.

(1) Nordos is a chain seafood buffet. All the food is fish, shrimp or lobster. The price is higher if you order, but the quality is really good. But he also sells hamburgers or sandwiches with fish, and the price is much lower. Eating seafood in Vienna is really fun. (2) Vienna sparerib is a famous sparerib shop in Vienna. People in Taiwan Province province can't eat a sparerib, so they grab good friends and go with them. Just right for two people. A person only needs 78 euros, which is delicious and cost-effective. However, this is a shop with many tourists, so it is recommended to make a reservation in advance.

3.EBN

It is organized by Wu's student union, and will hold many exchange activities to increase the feelings of all exchange students, some tours and some small activities. At the opening ceremony, EBN will tell you all the activities you can participate in this semester, most of which are paid. In addition, you can consider getting an EBN card. In addition to the above activities, you can also provide a sim card for free, which is convenient and time-saving. A Sim card is like an easy payment card. You can choose a plan at first, and then you can swipe your card online or save your value in a telecom company. This plan will continue, but if you don't want the initial plan, you must reissue a sim card.

Fourth, exchange notes.

1. Get the key

It is not recommended that you spend your holiday in Vienna, because you can't get the key to the dormitory, so you have to find an extra place for yourself. Oead has few office hours, so it is more troublesome to get keys. You can apply for buddy (the school will send a letter to inform you of the application), contact buddy in advance and ask him to get it for you, or you can arrive in Vienna during office hours and get the key from the office yourself.

2. After getting the student ID card, you can apply for the semster ticket at the counters of major stations (for example. Former. Platstein Kars prats ...), 65,438+050 euros a semester, and all kinds of transportation in downtown Vienna are free! Remember to show him your student id card and semster ticket when you check in! It's only 2 euros to the airport (4 euros for ordinary tourists).

Opening an account in a bank may be the biggest headache for most exchange students. I have an EBN card and opened an account in the first bank with which EBN cooperates. When I showed my card, the account holder knew that I was an exchange student and opened a student account for me. I would like to remind you that some branches need to make an appointment in advance to open an account. Bank card payment can be used almost anywhere, and can also be used in European countries. As long as you enter the pin, it will be automatically deducted. You can also have a credit card function, and all the functions will be confirmed with you when you open an account. There is no handling fee for transferring money in European countries. After opening an account, the bank card will be sent to the dormitory mailbox about a week, and then the password will be issued first, and then the card will be issued. Remember to fill in the dormitory address and confirm with the account holder repeatedly, otherwise you will never receive the card. The service of the First Bank is very good. His voice phone is available 24 hours a day, and he will help you patiently. You can download their app, George Go, just enter the account password, and you can check the balance in the card later. Finally, when you leave Vienna, you must cancel the contract at a bank with a cash counter, and he will return all the money in the card to you.
