Young Inspirational Story: A Good Example for Young Migrant Workers —— Zhang Chunli

Eight years ago, she got the university admission notice with excellent college entrance examination results and had no choice but to give up.

Eight years later, she was full of honors on another life track: winner of the "National May 1st Labor Medal", member of all-china youth federation, and outstanding migrant worker in Guangdong Province. Zhang Chunli, 27, wrote a different kind of youth through her own efforts.

Broken college dreams inspired her.

Zhang Chunli couldn't smile when she saw the admission notice of Jiangxi Normal University in the college entrance examination in 2004. Her dream college life was close at hand, so she chose to give it up. "When I was a freshman, my father had a car accident while running a long-distance transport truck, was injured and compensated others for a lot of money. In the third year of high school, my mother got a serious liver disease. To this end, the family has owed more than 100,000 foreign debts. " Zhang Chunli said.

Zhang Chunli was born in April 1986 in a remote mountain village in Lutian Township, Poyang County, Jiangxi Province. A poor family has five children. She is the eldest, one sister and three younger brothers. In 2004, Zhang Chunli, who was 18 years old, was successfully admitted to the university, but she was very sensible. In order not to increase the burden on her poor family, she decided to give up college and go out to work. Under the introduction of relatives, Zhang Chunli embarked on a journey to work in Shenzhen. At that time, she only brought two things, a suit of clothes and a heavy high school textbook.

In April 2005, she came to Shenzhen alone and became an ordinary female worker on the assembly line of Shenzhen Zhong Microelectronics Company. Although nearly a year has passed since the college entrance examination, her college dream has not been shattered. "I think it over before I go to Shenzhen. I want to study while working. I gave up going to college, but I didn't give up studying. " After she settled in Shenzhen with a strong thirst for knowledge, the first thing she did was to go to a training institution near the company to inquire about the adult college entrance examination in detail. She vowed to realize her college dream in Shenzhen. "My classmates are all in college. I hope I can have a college diploma."

In September, 2005, Zhang Chunli took part in the Guangdong Adult College Entrance Examination, and with a solid foundation, she was successfully admitted to the junior college class of English major in Shenzhen University. When she got the college admission notice for the second time, Zhang Chunli shed tears and vowed that such an opportunity would never be missed again. From then on, Zhang Chunli began to work during the day and go to school at night.

"Going home from work" is a stressful life for Zhang Chunli. She has classes four nights a week, from 7 to 9: 30, and time is tight. After returning to the dormitory, it takes about 2 hours to digest and review. Because of long-term fatigue, she often falls asleep on the bus, and it is common to miss dinner. After six years' efforts, Zhang Chunli successfully completed his studies from junior college to undergraduate, and graduated from Shenzhen University with excellent results. Now, Zhang Chunli is studying for a master's degree at Shenzhen University.

Study hard on the wage system and be the best migrant workers.

While studying, Zhang Chunli also worked hard in his post and mastered the operation skills of the assembly line post in the shortest time. Soon, Zhang Chunli's serious and responsible attitude and performance were recognized by company leaders and colleagues. Among the 20 sisters who entered the factory together, Zhang Chunli was the first to become a full member. After working for one year, Zhang Chunli was transferred to the personnel department by the director of human resources, and was promoted from a front-line production employee to a salary and welfare administrator in the administrative personnel department.

In 2008, in order to cooperate with the promulgation of the new "Labor Law", the enterprise plans to modify all the labor contracts and salary systems of the enterprise. The director of human resources department gave this important task to Zhang Chunli. "When I received this task, my head was blank and I didn't know how to start. I was given this opportunity because of the high trust of the director of human resources. So I think I must try my best to finish this task anyway. " Zhang Chunli began to revise his works under pressure and challenge.

This salary system reform is mainly based on the company's original salary system. In the early stage, Zhang Chunli did a lot of data analysis, wondering how to establish a salary system that adapts to the enterprise operation of the company, so as to meet the needs of the continuous development of the enterprise. As she has no experience in this field, she works harder than before and works overtime until eleven o'clock every day. "When I first started this job, I often called my former supervisor at night. The phone number was 1 1, and I wanted to know some information. It's really embarrassing to think about it now. " With the help of my colleagues, I finally worked out a plan, a salary system based on post salary system, and a medium-and long-term incentive plan for core employees, which not only effectively broke egalitarianism, but also enhanced the external competitiveness of enterprises. This brand-new salary system was unanimously adopted at the workers' congress of the company in that year, and achieved remarkable results in one year's implementation.

"Want to be the best migrant worker", Zhang Chunli set himself a goal.

Hard work has won her one honor after another: she has been rated as "excellent employee" by the company for three consecutive years; In 2008, he was awarded the honorary title of "Excellent Migrant Workers" in Guangdong Province; In 2009, he was selected as one of the "Top Ten People Touching Lake City"; In the same year, she won the "National May 1st Labor Medal", and she was the youngest among all the winners. 20 10 was elected as the 11th member of all-china youth federation. On September 6th, 20 10, Zhang Chunli, as an outstanding labor representative in Shenzhen, was cordially received by Hu Jintao at the 30th anniversary celebration of the establishment of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.

Investing in public welfare undertakings and serving young migrant workers in Shenzhen

Zhang Chunli changed his fate, but at the same time, it also affected groups of young workers. As her inspirational experience is known to more people, Zhang Chunli has received many invitations to give speeches, and has been receiving feedback and emails from young migrant workers. Through the communication with these people, she strongly realized how important it is to stimulate the potential of these front-line employees and build their self-confidence. So, in April of 20 12, Zhang Chunli gave up his high-paying job, and together with three other young people working in Shenzhen, he registered and established the Shenzhen Times Cultural Service Center for Young Workers, opened a youth workers' study class in Shenzhen, and established the Young Workers' Writers Association to join in public welfare undertakings.

At that time, many people didn't understand why she gave up her high-paying job and chose to help young migrant workers in Shenzhen. To this question, Zhang Chunli replied: "I gave up my high salary to do such a job, because I value my personal value more, and I think it is worth doing. Now my family is not as difficult as before, and my boyfriend is very supportive of my career. So for now, I want to do it wholeheartedly. "

"Young workers lecture hall is the brand of our service center. Every year, we invite some inspirational people to give speeches in enterprises, streets and communities to encourage migrant workers to struggle and change their destiny. Many young migrant workers have been buried because they have not been properly guided, and they have gone with the flow. Sometimes I make my own speech. I will tell you my experience and let you know that your destiny is in your own hands. After several speeches, I saw that everyone under the stage was in tears. " Zhang Chunli said.

In order to give these young migrant workers the correct guidance and prevent them from getting lost and drifting with the flow, Zhang Chunli focused his future work on the Lecture Hall for Young Workers. "Now I want to do my best to help them and solve some puzzles including emotion, work and life. These things are very meaningful, helping others and being happy. "

It is such an ordinary working girl who is only 26 years old. With her own efforts, she is constantly changing the trajectory of her life, uniting the forces around her and guiding a group of young migrant workers to work together to create a better life.
