Xinhua Dictionary (revised edition 1998) is a book published by Commercial Press 1998, and the author is Institute of Linguistics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

It mainly records the vocabulary of Putonghua, including about 56,000 words, phrases, idioms and more than 2.7 million words. The supplement was published in 1989, with about 20,000 words. The revised edition was published in 1996, with more than 60,000 words and more than 3 million words.
