Take reading notes. Whether you borrow books from others, from the library, or stand in the bookstore to browse, you can't get the books dirty. When the book gets dirty, write it down. Extract part of the content directly. There are some places that you think are particularly important, or the author summarizes what he wants to say here. These parts can be directly extracted. Make a summary and list it item by item.

Write down your feelings. You must write down your thoughts and feelings during reading.

Make a mind map. How to make reading mind map. "Mind mapping" is a thinking method advocated by Tony Buzan, a British educator. Chapter 3 Remember what you have read.

Why can't you remember the contents of the book? The structure of the human brain is inherently forgetful. According to the book Brain Structure and Scientific Learning Methods written by Mr. Yuji Ikegu, there are about 654.38+000 billion nerve cells in the brain. If you remember the scenery you have seen, the information in books, the sounds you have heard, the sound of air conditioning, and even the sense of smell and touch, your brain will reach its limit in less than 5 minutes.

In order not to reach the limit, the brain usually does not always remember information, but constantly deletes it.

So how is memory forgotten? We can refer to the Ebbinghaus Memory Curve, which can show this process very clearly. It was discovered by German experimental psychologist Ebbinghaus more than 100 years ago. By observing the curve, it can be clearly seen that the brain begins to forget quickly soon after remembering. Read repeatedly and keep your memory. The same is true of reading. By repetition, you can remember the contents of the book. And if you only watch it once, it is difficult to form a memory in your brain. But the reality is that few people actually read the same book twice or three times. Knowing is one thing, doing is another. It doesn't matter if you just read the "good book" that suits you repeatedly. Not all books have to be read two or three times. Compared with one reading, repeated reading can better taste the "reading depth" of complete questions and answers.

Read with emotion. According to the book "Brain Structure and Scientific Learning Methods" written by Mr. Yuji Ikegu, there is an area called "Hippocampus" near the center of the human brain, which is mainly responsible for receiving memories. Next to the hippocampus is the tonsil, which is responsible for handling emotions. What we see, hear, smell and touch, sensory information received when we taste with our tongue, and emotional information such as happiness, joy, pain and regret will all be transmitted to the tonsils. When your mood changes, you will give your tonsils some stimulation. Once the tonsil is stimulated, its "neighbor"-"hippocampus" will think "this is an important message!" So store it as a memory.

In short, it is to arouse feelings while reading. From the usual time, show your "joys and sorrows", which can mobilize your emotions well. This is not so much reading training as emotional training.

Read on the premise of repeating it to others. Once upon a time, there was a saying: "If you want to know yourself, teach others first!" It is very important to teach others and explain to them. Because if you don't know yourself, you can't teach others. I read it without thinking at all, and even if I had to explain it to others later, I basically forgot the contents of the book. Only by reading with the idea that you will tell others can you remember what is written in the book. There is always the idea of "telling others". Just thinking like this can bring you change.
