What are the job contents of a librarian?
The librarian's job content: responsible for selecting some books, evaluating resources and materials, and assisting in book purchasing activities; Classify books and periodicals, compile bibliographic indexes, and understand the general contents of books; Responsible for the management of each branch library, audit the identity of borrowers, maintain the order of the library and prevent books from being stolen; Browse, query, count, add, delete and modify the basic information of book borrowers; Register the purchased books, affix the collection stamp, mark the classification number, store them by classification, arrange the books and put them on the shelves to ensure that the books are arranged neatly and correctly; Handle book borrowing and returning activities, review whether the returned books are damaged or polluted, and deal with the damaged books according to their ownership; Generate a book return report, urge overdue borrowers to return books, and impose fines on overdue borrowers according to regulations; Dust books regularly, and do a good job of fire prevention, insect prevention and moisture prevention; Instruct readers to consult the collection catalogue and literature retrieval tools, and serve as assistants for literature research and bibliography editing; Explain the use of library facilities, resources, equipment and services, and provide information on information base policies. Librarians work normally 12 hours.
