Steps/methods

How to cite references

1. Generally speaking, unpublished data, abstracts, papers or other indirect materials should not be cited to list published influential references. If you really need to quote this kind of information, you can mark it in brackets. If the paper has been accepted and will be published, it can be cited, but it should be marked with "/npress" or "forthcoming" after the journal name of the paper to be published.

2. Before submitting the manuscript, carefully check the original sources of the documents cited in the references. After the submission is accepted, the certificate needs to be checked again. Experienced librarians know that references are the most mistakes in papers.

3. When checking, make sure that the documents cited in the text of the paper are indeed listed in the reference section, and also ensure that the articles listed in the reference section are indeed cited in the text.

How to cite references correctly

1. Avoid quoting references unrelated to the article. It is necessary to select documents related to the theme of the paper to support your own research point of view, so delete all those irrelevant and keep the relevant ones.

2. The depth of the cited documents should be reached. The so-called depth is the relevant literature related to the theme direction. Read every document carefully and discard those that are not profound enough and have nothing to do with the subject you want to write, so that the article will be vivid and concrete.

3. The cited references should be novel. When quoting literature, we must pay attention to the novelty of the content. Citing earlier research literature is certainly a summary, but we should pay attention to timeliness and carefully observe some developments and changes in this field in recent years. Then after comparison, the overall framework of the article can be effectively supported.

4. The format of references should be standardized and quoted appropriately. The format problem has become a headache for students. Also criticized by the teacher. Therefore, the author, title, publication name, annual volume, page number and serial number of references must be carefully observed to prevent format problems. If you quote opinions, you should mark them, and the number should be appropriate, not too much and not too little.
