(2) collecting and providing documents about Austria or Austrian people;
(3) Providing the use of special collections and increasing their value;
(4) Fulfill the obligations in Austrian library undertaking (such as publishing Austrian bibliography, building Austrian periodical database, conducting vocational training, etc.). According to the information law of Austria, publications from all provinces and the whole country, including doctoral and master's dissertations, should be submitted. In September 2000, the new Data Law was passed, which stipulated that solidified data carriers should be included in the scope of compulsory delivery, but there was no applicable law for online materials, audio-visual materials and movies. As the largest library in Austria, this library attaches great importance to humanistic materials, and its collection of 10 colleges is of unique value, not only in Austria, but also all over the world. This makes the museum of special importance and establishes its position in the world.
At present, there are many publications, and the Austrian National Library is facing the challenge of updating its concepts and knowledge. On the one hand, we should continue to undertake public welfare responsibilities, comprehensively demonstrate, review, collect and sort out various national historical documents; On the other hand, it is necessary to evaluate and locate a large number of modern publications and collections, determine the direction and content of the collection, and ensure the value, documentary, artistic and historical nature of the collection. In order to ensure the inheritance, breakthrough and innovation of theories and concepts, the Austrian National Pavilion is considering expanding the collection scope to ensure the social benefits of the library.
