Putian No.12 Middle School is located in Huatingpo, bordering Sanzi Mountain in the north and Mulan River in the south, with beautiful scenery and convenient transportation.

The school was founded in 1957, formerly known as Huating Senior High School. 1959 was named Putian No.12 Middle School by Putian County Government. In the 1970s, it was renamed Huating Wuqi Middle School, Huating Middle School and Putian Huating No.1 Middle School, and it was renamed Putian No.12 Middle School again after it was divided into branches in 2002.
