Extended data:
Dahongmen is a place name in Fengtai District, Beijing. Located in the south of muxi Garden outside Yongdingmen, there are Dahongmen Bridge and Dahongmen East Bridge in the South Fourth Ring Road. In the past 20 years, Dahongmen area has become a gathering place for immigrants mainly from Zhejiang. Once known as "Zhejiang Village", it has gradually formed an economic development model based on clothing.
Dahongmen originally refers to the main entrance of Nanhaizi, a royal garden. Dahongmen was built in the 12th year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty (14 14). At that time, when Nanhaizi was expanded, there were Donghongmen, Xihongmen, Nanhongmen and Beihongmen in the east, west, north and south directions respectively, and Beihongmen was the main entrance of Nanyuan. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, five more doors were opened. The one built to the east of Beihongmen is called xiaohongmen, so the original Beihongmen is also called Beidahongmen, and later it is called Dahongmen.
