The First Reading of Wang Zengqi's Plants on Earth
Wang Zengqi's first reading of Human Vegetation was recommended to me by my daughter.

My understanding of Wang Zengqi is limited to the introduction of characters. Knowing that he is a disciple of Shen Congwen, a famous contemporary novelist and essayist, and a descendant of Beijing-style novels, he is called "the last pure scholar in China and the last scholar-bureaucrat in China". Therefore, when my daughter introduced this book to me, I was more curious than reading other books.

When I opened the book, I found it unique. Starting with Wang Zengqi's hand-painted works, calligraphy works and manuscripts.

The work is divided into four parts: human vegetation, hometown miscellaneous notes, a generation of ancient people, and messages from different places.

The first part describes the flowers, plants, insects and fish in the author's life. The first article is the preface to the grape month. The author described the grape growth from 1 month to1February. My first impression is that the style of writing is mediocre. With the description of the article, a vineyard appears in front of me all year round. But I closed the book to read it again, and then I opened it again.

After spring, it will be windy for 48 days. The wind shook the branches of the tree, and the tree woke up and rushed to send the juice to the whole body. The branches are soft. These trees are green.

The snow melted and the earth was dark.

Why does this seemingly straightforward sketch give me such a strong sense of picture? Beginning of spring, swaying, awakening, juicy, soft, green, melting, black simple words, the breath of the whole spring is vividly presented to me. The author discovers beauty with his unique eyes, expresses the beauty of interest in life to us with the height of his literature, and guides every ordinary person with romantic feelings to enjoy the interest of life and have a peaceful living state. No wonder I can't let go.

The second part is Hometown Miscellanies. The author left his hometown at the age of nineteen and returned to his hometown at the age of sixty-six. "I went to see my alma mater: nothing." But when I was in elementary school, I clearly saw the King Chengtian Temple in Zhang Shicheng. "Fat Zhan has a clock on the wall, a bronze clock on the table, and peanut candy and sesame candy in the glass box." The author introduces Wang Wenying, a kindergarten teacher, and Zhang Jingzhai, a sixth-grade teacher. I can't write the essence of "a teacher's maternal love" without his attainments. But this is not my biggest feeling and gain from reading this article.

After finishing my primary school, I feel deeply ashamed. Now think back to my primary school teacher. I can hardly call him "teacher", let alone the teacher's full name. The teacher's voice and smile have long been blurred or even forgotten. I never thought about going to see them. They are still alive and I don't know. What a shame.

This may be Wang Zengqi, who purified readers' souls and inspired their thinking with simple and homely words and delicate emotions. Yes, "May teenagers ride the wind and waves and never forget to turn rain into merit."

The chapter "A Generation of Ancient People" describes Mr. Wang Zengqi's own relatives, parents and brothers, Da Lian's sister, Mr. Shen Congwen and Wen Yiduo ... no matter who they are, they can get the greatest respect in his works. He described Mr. Shen as follows: "In his later years, he liked to laugh, smiling from ear to ear and waving his hand like a child." We may have little association with this living image of an ordinary old man and Mr. Shen.

The last part is "Information from another country". Mr. WANG Zengqi: "In order to write imperial academy, I went to imperial academy, which was meaningless. I came back from the Capital Library with dozens of books. After watching them for a few days, I was dizzy and stuffy, but I didn't get much. Later, I went to talk to an' old' friend for two nights and seemed to understand a lot of things. My friend has been a policeman in imperial academy for generations ... "That's how Mr. Wang treats his words rigorously and explains these words and allusions inadvertently and unconsciously. Let the reader know at a glance.

Mr. Wang Zengqi's "Plants on Earth" talks about flowers, insects, fish, trivial matters and simple rural customs, and interprets simple literary interests and literati feelings in the most accurate language.

Mr. Wang once said: "the purpose of language is to make people understand it at first sight and remember it at once." The standard of language is accurate. "

I understand a lot after reading "Human Vegetation".
