The scale of Guangzhou University Library
On July, 2006, 5438+0, the library of Guangzhou University was adjusted and merged with the school. It is formed by the merger of Guangzhou Normal University, Guangzhou University, South China Institute of Architecture (West Campus), Guangzhou Normal University and Guangzhou Education College Library, with a total area of 29,050 square meters. In July 2005, the whole library moved into Guangzhou University Town, and the new library was officially opened in June 5438+10. The University Town Library has a building area of 56,000 square meters, with a current use area of 4,9361square meter and a per capita living area of 2.25 square meters. It is the largest single campus library in China.

The library's collection of documents ranks third in Guangdong university libraries, second only to Sun Yat-sen University and South China University of Technology, with rich paper resources and rapid growth of electronic resources. Guangdong university libraries are at the leading level in digital library construction, literature resource sharing and characteristic literature development.
