The design of the entrance of the museum incorporates the characteristics of ancient Egyptian art: the outline of the gate is a circular arch, and there is a European relief in the niches on both sides of the arch, one of which holds papyrus and the other lotus, symbolizing the north and south of ancient Egypt respectively. In the garden of the museum, there are many statues of famous Egyptian scholars and outdoor exhibits such as the sphinx, obelisk and stone carving.
The most famous exhibits in the museum are treasures unearthed from Tutankhamun's tomb, including humanoid gold coffins, gold jewelry boxes, golden thrones, queen's crowns and other royal vessels. Tutankhamun's gold coffin is made of 202.5 kilograms of pure gold, which is the most exquisite and greatest gold product in human history. The young Tutankhamun died at the age of 18, and the king was buried in a three-layer coffin box. The Egyptian National Archaeological Museum in Cairo has the innermost coffin box. The golden coffin is painted with colored paint, beautifully carved and of high aesthetic value. Tutankhamun's throne is also glittering. There is a golden lion head on both sides of the front of the seat, and the armrest is a statue of the eagle head of the snake head, representing the kingship of upper and lower Egypt respectively. On the back of the throne is a picture of royal life: in the sun, the queen fondles the king on the throne affectionately, and their eyes are opposite, beautiful and warm. The back of the chair is a gold plate inlaid with stones and colors, similar to cloisonne in China.
The museum's famous collections include the "Narmai" slate which recorded the great cause of ancient Egypt's reunification in the 365,438+0th century BC, the statue of Pharaoh found in the pyramid of khufu, the limestone statue "Clerk" and the statue group of "Prince Lahotep and his wife's novella", all of which are world-famous works of ancient Egypt ... The statue group of "Prince Lahotep and his wife Novet" is carved on two stones respectively. Prince Lahotep was topless, wearing a white collar and a white tunic skirt. His upper lip has a short beard similar to that of a modern Arab man and his skin is dark. Novet is dignified in appearance, with shoulder-length black hair, a colored hair band on a white background and a black, blue and red necklace around his neck. His plump body looks elegant in a white dress. Both men have black ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics on their heads. Both of them are painted, with bright eyes and well preserved.
