With a student ID card, you can borrow books from the library. If you need to check the borrowing situation, you can log on to the library website. The user name is generally the same as the card account, and the password starts with 0000. Please consult the school library for details.
Handling of library card:
1. After the newly enrolled undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral students gather in the school registration center to apply for IC cards, the undergraduates and postgraduates sign the Application Form for Opening the Right to Use Library Cards, and collectively go to the circulation department of the library (room 109 on the west side of the new library) to open the right to borrow IC cards. In case of special circumstances, if you can't take part in the collective permission to borrow books, you need to take an IC card to the circulation department of the library (new library west/room KLOC-0/09) to open a permission to borrow books.
2. School staff and postdoctoral staff hold school staff's IC card work permit to open IC card borrowing authority at the accreditation office. Post-doctoral staff who are not graduates from Tsinghua must submit their doctoral thesis in the special collection room (new building 406) of the library.
3. Retirees without IC card work permit hold old work permit or retirement certificate and a recent photo, and go to the registration office to apply for a library card (machine-readable card).
4. Students who have won scholarships among advanced foreign students (subject to the accommodation list) will open IC card borrowing authority in the new library registration office with their IC cards.
5. Readers outside the above range must apply for temporary library cards. Please refer to the Measures for the Administration of Temporary Library Cards and Reading Cards in School Libraries for handling methods and regulations.
