Software requirement analysis is the refinement and modernization of software feasibility analysis established during software planning, which analyzes various possible solutions and assigns them to various software elements. Requirements analysis is the last step in the software definition stage, which is to determine what the system must accomplish, that is, the target system puts forward complete, accurate, clear and specific requirements.

This book management system is suitable for small and medium-sized public libraries, primary and secondary schools and libraries of various institutions.

Project objectives

The design goal of this project is to facilitate the operation of librarians, reduce the workload of librarians, and enable them to manage the books in the stacks more effectively, thus realizing the information construction of traditional library management.

The service object of this system is the staff of the circulation department of the library, and the user interface is friendly. The system can be used without special training in computer science.

design principle

The amount of information handled by book management is relatively large. Therefore, for the design of this system, the following principles need to be adopted:

Eliminate unnecessary management redundancy and realize standardized and scientific management.

Standardize the program code and unify the software to ensure the maintainability and practicability of the software.

Ability to connect to each related database and obtain information in the database. Ensure that the items related to each database table have the same properties.

Performance limitation

This is a system developed on a microcomputer. There is no special requirement for response time, but the system is required to process a large amount of information.

Software and hardware requirements developed

Hardware requirements: 64M memory, 10G hard disk 1, floppy drive 1, optical drive 1, SVGA compatible display.

Software requirements: Microsoft Windows98 operating system and Powerbuilder8.0 database system.
