What do you mean by a closed library and an open library?
There are generally two ways to provide documents: open-shelf provision and closed-shelf provision. Open shelves can be divided into: full open shelves and half open shelves.

1. Closed-shelf lending refers to the closed management of the library's books, and readers are not in direct contact with the books. The staff takes books from the shelf according to the book request form filled in by the readers, and then puts them back on the shelf when the readers return them. Closed bookshelves are good for protecting books.

Second, the way to provide open shelves is relatively closed, and readers can choose books directly from the shelves in the stacks.

Third, the semi-open shelf method is a way of providing books and periodicals between closed shelf and open shelf. Semi-open bookcase is to display books in a bookcase with glass, with the back facing outwards and a small gap left in the middle of the glass. Readers can see the title and the appearance of the book, but they can't extricate themselves. When borrowing books, readers can indicate which book to borrow from the glass gap, and the librarian will take it out to handle the borrowing procedures for readers.
