According to legend, more than 0/000 years ago, a descendant of Uman tribe, a strong ancient frontier tribe, came to Zhiziluo area in the upper reaches of Nujiang River to live and multiply, which became the birthplace of Nu people. After a long time, Zhizhi became an important market center in several villages near Nujiang Gorge. Zhiziluo was always the center of Nujiang area, that is, the seat of Nujiang state capital, before it moved to Liuku in 1974.
Only in 1986, according to expert analysis, natural disasters may occur here in Zhiziluo, so this place suddenly announced its cancellation and moved its capital to the state capital of Nujiang.
However, until more than 30 years later, there has been no natural disaster here, and the once prosperous Zhiziluo has gradually disappeared into many people's minds and become an abandoned city.
After crossing the Panshan Highway and entering the village entrance, you can see a very huge building, which is an octagonal building. Take a closer look at the library where Ziluo used to know, and now it has become a museum of Nu people.
Through the periphery of this octagonal building, we can still find traces of the past, such as slogans in the 1970s and 1980s and painted images of great men, which remind me of the bustling scene here in an instant.
After climbing the library, you can see the whole Nujiang Grand Canyon. The mountains and villages in the distance are looming, and the once prosperous squares and buildings nearby are vivid.
After visiting the library in the octagonal building, you can enter a wider street. I guess this street used to be the main street in this county. You can also see many Soviet architectural styles on the main street, that is, rows of square buildings. Some of them used to be busy government buildings, banks, clothing factories, supply and marketing cooperatives and so on.
Walking on this street, all you see in front of you are buildings from 6 to 70 every year. Although I haven't experienced that red era, I can still feel a little bit of the past through these buildings.
Perhaps this is what people call "the city of memory", an ancient city that records the border ethnic minorities. The former post office, Xinhua Bookstore, company dormitory and Red Sun Square have all become ruins, and some even become places for raising livestock, which seems to mean that "people go to the building".
At the end of the street, you can also see an exotic church, which is the Christian church of many ethnic minorities in Nujiang Prefecture. Although it looks brand-new, it stands in the mountains and has a unique style.
Although today's Zhiziluo Village looks a little shabby and distressing, with the arrival of many tourists, it has gradually begun to operate commercially. With the opening of tourism, these buildings have been slowly preserved, not only becoming a city of memory in people's mouths, but also a permanent city that continues life and records the prosperity and glory of this city.
How to get to Zhiziluo Village, Nujiang, Yunnan: Generally speaking, if you want convenience, it is recommended to go by car, but the Panshan Highway along the way is steep, so you must pay attention to safety. In addition, if you don't want to drive by car, you can also take the shuttle bus to Zhiziluo in Liuku, but the frequency is rare.
