The library of Northwest Normal University was founded in 1902, which was formerly the Library of National Beiping Normal University and the Library of Teachers College of Shi Jing University. After 100 years of development and changes, the library has accumulated rich collection resources, forming the collection characteristics marked by ancient books and documents during the Republic of China and the 1950s and 1960s after the founding of the People's Republic of China. It is a key protection unit of ancient books in Gansu Province.
