Academy of Armored Forces Engineering: Located by the scenic Lugou Bridge in Beijing, it is one of the national key engineering colleges and one of the twelve comprehensive colleges of the whole army. Formerly known as the Armored Forces Engineering Department of Harbin Institute of Military Engineering, the College was expanded to Xi 'an Armored Forces Engineering College in 196 1 and moved to Beijing in 1969. It is the highest institution in our army to train engineering and technical officers and commanding officers of armored mechanized units.

Covering an area of more than 3,700 mu, the college has a modern library and electronic reading room, and has established online retrieval with the Internet, Beijing Library, the Science and Technology Information Institute of the Ministry, and has nearly 200 laboratories, professional rooms and 7 large-scale professional training grounds.
