The contents of library work are very extensive, mainly including the following six aspects: (1) formulating the guidelines, tasks, scope of work and service objects of the library; (2) Collecting, processing, sorting out and preserving the literature resources, and providing the literature resources needed by readers to the maximum extent; (3) Do a good job in propaganda and guidance, expand the social influence of the library, improve the service quality, let readers make better use of the collection and improve the utilization rate of the collection documents; (4) Compile various retrieval tools, such as bibliography, index, abstract, etc. Better provide readers with ways and methods to find them; (5) To carry out business management and business guidance, and guide and promote library work; (6) Inter-library cooperation and coordination is an effective way to realize resource sharing.
