Version, number of books issued. Refers to the contents of books that have been modified, deleted or added, such as the first edition, the second edition and the third edition.

Print run, the number of times a book is printed per page. Count continuously from the first printing of the first edition. If the content is reprinted after major modification, the cumulative number of exhibitions will still be calculated.

When it was first published and printed, it was written as "first edition, first printing", which was called first edition.

If the content remains unchanged, the second printing means that the first edition is printed for the second time. This kind of book is called reprint book.

The book number is ISBN, and the most intuitive is the bar code and a series of numbers on the back cover of the book. It is distributed to all publishing houses by the General Administration of Press and Publication of the People's Republic of China. Composition of international standard book number

It consists of ten numbers of different lengths, namely:

National language identification code: used to identify the country, language and region to which the publishing house belongs. The code name of Hong Kong is "962" or "988".

Printing machine identification code: identifies the printing machine.

Book title and edition code: The publishing house will distribute the newly published books or editions by itself.

Audit number: used to check whether the book number is correct.

Each part is separated by a hyphen or a space.
