When I chose this book as my first book, I really had a purpose. On the evening of April 2, I joined the small stove preparation group and happened to see Boli talking about the knowledge of mind mapping, so I bought a book called My First Introduction to Mind Mapping. Under the explanation of wave force and the push of mind map every day, I want to try to use mind map myself. I just prepared to start the 33-book plan on 100, so I chose this book as the first book without hesitation, and I also tried to write a mind map for each book I read later.
I tried to use it to disassemble the morning reading comprehension I wrote tonight, but it got stuck. After talking with Boli, Boli's suggestion is to start with the simplest article and then use it to do something else. I made the mistake of being too hasty. Although I finished reading this book, I didn't delve into the examples carefully.
Uncle cat's "take your time" really applies at any time.
Mind mapping is indeed a very powerful tool and has a wide range of applications. As the author of this book said, this is a skill and a tool, which can only be mastered by constant practice. Next, practice mind mapping hard!
? The first part of this book introduces the principle of mind mapping as a powerful thinking tool.
? First of all, it satisfies the memory learning principle of the human brain, fully mobilizes people's vision, kinesthetic sense and hearing, and accelerates the memory of the brain; Secondly, it can be used as a good communication tool to communicate with oneself (self-examination and thinking) and others (reducing the error of expression and understanding between the two sides); Third, it can accelerate brain thinking, indirectly improve brain power, and comprehensively improve memory through observation, association, logic, creation, concentration and motivation (observation and logic force determine the whole framework, association force allows us to randomly extract memories from our minds through association, and drawing mind maps requires hand-eye coordination and concentration, which greatly increases active absorption and comprehensively improves memory); It conforms to the four principles of thinking-horizontal thinking (cultivating creativity), vertical thinking (logical force), classified thinking and Datura-like thinking (horizontal thinking is conducive to generating new ideas and methods, providing more choices and improving the efficiency of vertical thinking; Longitudinal thinking is conducive to the development of ideas derived from lateral thinking, thus enhancing the ability of lateral thinking.
Sharp tools can do a good job. Start with choosing the right pen and paper and draw your own mind map step by step. The specific steps are as follows: first, the theme, then the main pulse, pulse division, clockwise draw a complete mind map.
1) Whether the central theme is framed depends on the demand. The central theme with a border is more focused and plays an emphasis role; The frameless central theme has a sense of extension, which is convenient for extending the tentacles of thought.
2) The main pulse lines must be from thick to thin, and the arrangement is not necessarily clockwise. In order to facilitate thinking, it is generally radial (but sometimes it is not necessarily drawn in a radial shape considering function or beauty); From the second level, all branches can use thin lines, and the arrangement must be from top to bottom of the paper, and the words on the veins must also be written from left to right.
3) Draw lines or write first. Note that the characters must be on one line, the word length should be equal to the line length as far as possible, and the visual proportion of the lines should be coordinated; Try to pull out lines by hand, which sometimes limits thinking; When you think of Caton or don't know what to write, you can draw a blank line for later completion; Lines can be changed creatively, but we should pay attention to the whole mind map focusing on words and thinking logic, and don't spend too much time beautifying the layout; Don't overlap and stagger the lines, so as not to interfere with thinking; The line is preferably horizontal, and keywords must be written on the line; Lines on the same horizontal line should all start from the same point.
4) When you can't draw in the corner, you can turn around and continue to draw; If one mind map can't fit, you can draw two and write a branch theme, or divide the theme into two parts to represent one part and two parts.
5) If the content is wrong, put a cross on it or cross it out with strikeout before writing. Don't paint it black.
6) Simple and interesting illustrations can enhance the memory effect, and drawing some interesting pictures can help the brain better absorb the contents of mind maps.
1) Themes can be drawn in the form of pictures through association, homophonic, stereoscopic painting, etc., because when the eyes see pictures, they can directly absorb them without thinking and imagination, thus improving the memory speed.
2) The illustrations on the pulse condition should be placed on the line like words, and the role of small illustrations is equivalent to words; You can use some simple symbols instead of words, such as Martian.
3) The colors of word lines should be consistent as far as possible, illustrations can be colored, and adjacent veins should be distinguished by recognizable colors.
4) Mind mapping combined with tables or other graphics is more conducive to thinking and memory.
5) Show yourself the guide map, as long as you can understand it; If you show the communication diagram to others, you should pay attention to whether others can understand the logical relationship. You can write more keywords.
6) Mind mapping can be revised and integrated many times to make the thinking clear gradually; Different people draw different maps. You can usually refer to other people's maps to learn from each other's strengths.
7) Hand-drawn maps can be drawn more freely by visual, spatial and kinesthetic memory; Computer drawing only uses vision and spatial memory, which has many limitations and limits the flexibility of brain thinking, but it is very convenient and easy to modify.
1) Related keywords can be represented by double arrows.
2) keywords generally do not exceed four or five words, except proper nouns.
3) The handwriting is neat, block letters and neat layout, which is conducive to brain absorption.
1) If it's a guide map for yourself, the main veins don't need to be marked in order, but they can be marked in order for others to see, for fear that others won't understand.
2) The number of main pulses is controlled at 7 2.
3) Simplify the text and improve the ability of sorting and induction.
4) The grade shall be ≥5.
5) When a keyword can be discussed independently as a topic, mind maps can be embedded in small mind maps.
1) new product development and brainstorming
Write out all the ideas →→→→→ classify all the ideas →→→ analyze the importance of these ideas with logical force, and choose what we want to do →→→→→→→ feasibility analysis.
2) Activity planning
The usual shopping list can be in the form of mind map.
3) Goal setting
Make a concrete list of the future scenes you want in the next 3-5 years →→→→ Analyze the reasons for these goals →→→→→ Find your inner voice and the concrete actions you can do.
2. Organized mind map from existence to existence
"From what we have to what we have" refers to the data that we already have in our brains or hands, and then organize these data into more logical and useful information. This process needs our brain's ability of sorting, induction and analysis, so we call it "sorting mind map" (also called analytical induction).
1) class schedule planning and reading plan
Plan by date; According to the project plan
2) Reading notes (there are six sample articles in this section)
Every time we read, in fact, we can only absorb a small part, most of the content is not mastered, and sometimes we need to read it over and over again. After using mind map to save the past, you don't need to look back at the contents that were originally full of a lot of words, which can save a lot of time and enhance the memory effect.
The central theme does not have to use the title of the original author, but can be summarized and sorted out by itself as the central theme. Organizing reading notes can exercise the brain's independent thinking ability and understanding, rather than being a parrot that repeats the author's thoughts.
We can adopt SQ3R strategy for Reading, that is, overview, Question, read, return and review. After learning the reading method of dividing paragraphs and recognizing logic, the next step is to transform it into writing ability.
3) Listen to lecture notes
Many people have difficulty taking notes while listening to speeches. After listening to a long passage, I don't know how to take notes I can't take notes while listening. After listening to the speech, I immediately forgot all the contents. Two hours later, I recorded my speech, but I couldn't spare two hours to play it again. Or spent four hours reviewing two hours of speeches. Mind mapping can help you solve these problems.
First, pay attention to the titles and charts on the speaker's slides. The central theme can generally be set as the date of speech, the name of the speaker and the theme. Listen carefully, but don't necessarily write down words that are repeated when the speaker speaks or examples that help explain his point of view.
The speaker usually sets several topics, but the listener sometimes doesn't know how many paragraphs there are, so sometimes the mind map may be ugly and unbalanced. It is a good choice to mark each topic at this time, and the key point is not to miss the lecture.
You think it's a key word when you hear it, so write it down. If you find that it is not so important after listening, you can cross it out again. If you don't understand, you can type "?" After the keyword. Maybe you will understand after listening, but you still don't understand after listening. You can ask the speaker later.
Train yourself to quickly grasp 20% of the key points to explain 80% of the ideas.
You should add the last pulse every time: experience. Think critically, but don't criticize, so as to cultivate your own set of ideas, rather than copying the author's ideas. Don't just "criticize", have your own ideas. Critical thinking = criticism (raising objections)+suggestions (giving concrete and feasible suggestions), questioning and criticizing the contents of the sitting, and at the same time making suggestions yourself. If you can't make your own suggestions, it means that this part has no ideas of your own.
4) Meeting Minutes
During the meeting, the host can introduce concepts such as mind map, main pulse and central theme, and everyone's views should be recorded according to the corresponding main pulse. No one's opinions will be missed, and there will be no repeated speeches. Everyone will stick to the theme and there will be no digression.
It may not be beautiful at first, but it doesn't matter, because it can faithfully present the content.
After the meeting, you can use keywords to organize and present the whole meeting content.
1) Speech skills
If the speaker reads the contents of the manuscript while reading it, he is reading or reading the manuscript, not giving a speech.
In the process of making mind maps, they will be altered, and the appearance may be chaotic, but the content will become clearer and clearer.
Just draw several main veins according to several main concepts, and then draw branches according to different main vein extension contents, and fill in keywords one by one, so as to complete the work of collecting content and drawing outline in the process of drawing mind map.
The content of the notes is much more important than the neatness of the appearance. After we make sure that all the contents are completed, copying it again will be a neat and readable mind map of speech tips.
2) composition outline
At the beginning of the discussion, both sides knew nothing about * * *, and at the end of the discussion, both sides had memorized the main contents. Hand-painted mind maps are only reserved, and the real mind maps are in their hearts, so they are "starting from scratch".
1) Introduce yourself (there are many examples in the book)
You can clearly show your expertise and specialty in the shortest way.
2) Conference briefing
Similar to meeting minutes

2) System diagram and organization chart
3) Concept map
4) Traditional paper strips
