1. Competition time: 20091October 24th +65438.

Second, the participants:

Students over the second year of college. The competition is divided into three groups:

Group A: Mathematics major group, including students majoring in mathematics and applied mathematics, information and computing science.

Group b: non-mathematics major group.

Group C: Economic category (specific category of Beijing Division, please refer to the Assessment Method for details).

Students majoring in mathematics are not allowed to participate in competitions for non-mathematics majors.

Undergraduate students in grades 06, 07 and 08 of all departments in our college can sign up for Group B or Group C according to the actual situation.

Third, the content of the competition:

Group A: Mathematical Analysis (50%), Advanced Algebra (35%) and Analytic Geometry (15%).

Group B: the teaching content of advanced mathematics stipulated in the syllabus for science and engineering undergraduates.

Group C: Advanced Mathematics of Economics, which not only reduces the application of multivariate function differential calculus in geometry, triple integral, curve integral and surface integral on the basis of Group B.

Fourth, the registration method:

In the form of "name, department, student number and mobile phone number", the personal information of the enrolled students is summarized and reported to Mr. Gao Manhong, the office of the Information Technology Department. Deadline for registration: June 30, 2009.

5. Registration fee: 60 yuan for each group A and B, and 50 yuan for each group C. ..

Sixth, the reward method

The competition is divided into district (province, city and autonomous region) competitions and finals. Beijing Division will be held in University of Science and Technology Beijing on October 24th, 2009, and the final will be held on the third Saturday of May 20th, 2009, hosted by National University of Defense Technology.

Division award: according to key schools and non-key schools, awards are given in three groups respectively.

Final prize: the finalists are selected by each division from the winners of the first prize in the division, and the bonus is determined by the final score.

Special note: Group C (economic category) is unique to Beijing Division, so Group C only judges the awards of Beijing Division and cannot participate in the national finals.

Notice on Holding the First National Mathematics Competition for College Students in 2009

Mathematical societies of all provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions:

In order to cultivate talents, serve teaching, promote the reform and construction of mathematics curriculum in colleges and universities, improve college students' interest in learning mathematics, cultivate their ability to analyze and solve problems, discover and select innovative talents in mathematics, and provide a stage for young students to show their basic knowledge and thinking ability, a national mathematics competition for college students was held on June 24, 2009 with the approval of the Chinese Mathematical Society.

The specific matters of the contest are hereby notified as follows:

(1) Participants:

Students over the second year of college. The competition is divided into non-mathematical professional groups and mathematical professional groups (including students majoring in mathematics and applied mathematics, information and computing science). Students majoring in mathematics are not allowed to participate in competitions for non-mathematics majors.

(2) Competition content:

The content of the competition for non-mathematics majors is undergraduate advanced mathematics. The contents of the competition in the mathematics specialty group include mathematical analysis (50%), advanced algebra (35%) and analytic geometry (15%). The content of advanced mathematics is the teaching content of advanced mathematics stipulated in the undergraduate syllabus of science and engineering.

(3) Registration method:

Before September 15, 2009, you should apply directly to the host university entrusted by the Mathematics Association of your province, municipality directly under the Central Government or autonomous region through your school or individual.

(4) Competition organization:

The competition is divided into two stages: district (province, municipality directly under the central government and autonomous region) competition and final competition. The person in charge of each division (the list is attached) is jointly responsible for organizing the selection, using the national unified examination questions and taking the examination with the mathematical associations of all provinces (cities, districts).

The organizing committee and organizers of the National College Mathematics Competition are responsible for organizing the implementation stage. The final is scheduled for Saturday in the third week of May, 20 10. Hosted by National University of Defense Technology.

(5) Competition charging standard:

Each student must pay the registration fee 60 yuan to the participating units, of which 50 yuan will be used for the division, and 10 yuan will be handed over to the National Competition Organizing Committee for the organization, proposition, award and award of the division and final respectively.

(6) Establishment of awards:

The establishment of the division (generally at the provincial level, the military academy is an independent division) award and the national final award.

Department award. According to key schools and non-key schools, mathematics majors and non-mathematics majors are awarded respectively. The total number of winners in each division shall not exceed 15% of the total number of participants. The topic is "the first * National College Mathematics Competition (* * Division) * and other prizes".

Final prize. The total number of participants in the national finals is tentatively set at 200. The number of finalists in each division is not less than 3, and each division is selected from the winners of the first prize in that division. The final shortlist is approved by the competition organizing committee. The final stage of the reward level is awarded according to the absolute score.

The winning certificates of regionals and finals are stamped with the official seal of "chinese mathematical society Popularization Working Committee".
