Introduction of Hohhot Vocational College:
Hohhot Vocational College is an old school with a history of one hundred years. Its origin can be traced back to the era of "abolishing imperial examinations and promoting learning" in the late Qing Dynasty, that is, Guisui Normal School in 1907, which was the beginning of normal education in Hohhot. 1922 was changed to Suiyuan Normal School, which changed its name several times until 1945 moved back to its original site and entered a period of vigorous development. 1954 changed its name to Hohhot Normal School. 1977 after the resumption of the college entrance examination, students from normal colleges began to be recruited.
In September 2000, Hohhot Normal School was merged into Hohhot Institute of Education to form a new Hohhot Institute of Education. In 2002, Hohhot Vocational College was formed by the merger of Hohhot Education College, Hohhot Management Cadre College, Hohhot Staff University and Hohhot Radio and TV University.
