[Writing 2 19] What should the summer preparatory class say?
As a title, this is a headache I encountered this summer. This summer vacation, I made a small attempt as a teacher of extracurricular tutoring institutions, giving children preparatory tutoring in seventh grade mathematics. In the process of teaching, I have encountered all kinds of problems, but the biggest question is, what knowledge should be prepared for children in the preparatory course?

In the first few classes, children focus on reviewing primary school mathematics knowledge. These contents are familiar to children, and only a few knowledge points are unfamiliar, which is easy to solve. The original plan was to practice a new note-taking tool-mind map with children's relatively familiar knowledge. After a long period of study, at present, sensory mind mapping has a very good effect on children's learning, taking notes and summarizing, which can help children have an overall thinking perspective, directly observe the relationship between knowledge and truly understand the laws of knowledge.

After learning the skill of mind mapping, it will also be very helpful for children to preview new knowledge, and quickly gather the knowledge points of textbooks when learning, without getting entangled in details. This is our understanding of note-taking technology and preview activities now, so I don't think the more new knowledge you explain, the better. Instead, I think you should know new knowledge moderately, and it is more about the training of learning skills.

However, according to children's feedback, many children have attended preparatory classes in other institutions and studied seventh-grade mathematics three times a week. Some of them have learned the fifth chapter of linear equations, learned a lot of new knowledge, and think they have an advantage in knowledge understanding in the new semester. In fact, this will bring several problems:

Combined with the above knowledge, when I want to explain the seventh grade mathematics knowledge to my children, I am in a confused state. How can I lead my children to complete such a preview? Without the traditional evaluation system, my present situation is weak and my evaluation is not high, which will lead to the loss of students; Talking too much conflicts with your own cognition and is unwilling to do so. What's more, I am not a professional school teacher. It is difficult to grasp to what extent and how to guide children to understand the order of knowledge.

It is difficult to decide whether to take children to practice how to do their homework well or brush their knowledge and questions, which will dominate the exam. The change of exam-oriented education can't be achieved just by talking. Parents' cognition, students' cognition and school cognition need to be changed. If we don't change our cognition and use old ideas to understand learning activities, we will continue to fall into the endless cycle of exam-oriented education. The future social competition has shifted to the level of personal quality. The traditional one-size-fits-all education and training model is obviously not suitable. If children don't make changes when they study, then when you step into the society after more than ten years, you may be hit hard, because the methods and thinking patterns you have learned are no longer suitable for the development of society, which is the problem we need to focus on!

I don't have any good ideas about this problem either. I look forward to finding my answer in concrete actions. I hope that I can continue to increase my voice in the follow-up actions, to influence those who can influence, and to pay attention to the change of my way of thinking.
