1953 graduated from the department of mathematics of northeast normal university,1joined the China * * * production party in June, 956. He has served as vice president, dean and vice president of the Department of Mathematics, and 1986- 1992 was the president of Northeast Normal University. He is also a member of the Standing Committee of Jilin Provincial People's Congress, CPPCC, executive director of China Education Society, executive director of China Mathematical Society, executive editorial board of Northeast Mathematics magazine, editorial board of Mathematical Research and Review, annual edition of differential equations, editorial board of science and engineering textbooks of State Education Commission, member of American Mathematical Society, and commentator of the world authoritative publication Mathematical Review and the famous German review publication Mathematical Digest sponsored by this society. 1982 to 1983, went to the United States for academic investigation. 1983 was rated as a young and middle-aged scientific and technological worker with outstanding contributions in the province, and 1987 was rated as a national scientist with outstanding contributions.
