The National Mathematical Modeling Competition for College Students was founded in 1992 and held once a year. At present, it has become the largest basic subject competition in domestic universities and the largest mathematical modeling competition in the world. In 20 15, there were 28,665 teams (including 25,646 undergraduate teams and 30 19 specialist teams) and nearly 86,000 college students from 33 provinces/municipalities/autonomous regions (including Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions), Singapore and the United States.
