The Life of the Characters in Zhang Weiping's Works
1985 Zhang Weiping graduated from the Department of Mathematics of Fudan University, and then studied under Professor Yu in the Institute of Mathematics of China Academy of Sciences for a master's degree. Professor Yu is the first person in China to study Atia-Singer index theorem. 1988, Zhang Weiping was admitted to Nankai Institute of Mathematics as a doctoral student of Mr. Chen Shengshen. 1990 was recommended to study for a doctoral degree at Paris-Nantes University, where he studied under Professor Jean-Michel Bismut, a famous mathematician and international authority on index theory. In the meantime, he cooperated with his tutor to complete the important work of analyzing the relationship between torsion and topological torsion in Exponential Theory, and published it in Asterisque magazine. This is his most important research achievement so far.

65438-0993, Ph.D., University of Paris South. Inspired by Chen Shengshen, Zhang Weiping resolutely returned to Nankai University to teach at the beginning of graduation. 1995 promoted to professor.

Zhang Weiping was the director of Nankai Institute of Mathematics from 2004 to 2007. Especially after Chen Shengshen died at the end of 2004, he made important contributions to Nankai Institute of Mathematics. At the end of 2007, he and Long Yiming, another professor of Chen Shengshen Institute of Mathematics, were elected as academicians of China Academy of Sciences.
