Solution to "How to Measure Underdamped Attenuation Constant and Oscillation Frequency of Zero Input Response of Second-order Circuit on Oscilloscope Screen"
Adjust RL to display a stable under-damped response waveform on the oscilloscope screen, measure the oscillation period Td with the oscilloscope cursor button, and calculate the attenuation constant δ and the oscillation angular frequency ωd of the circuit with two adjacent maximum values U 1m and U2m. Ω ωd = 2π/Td, and the attenuation coefficient δ= 1/Td*lnU 1m/U2m.
