What is word?
Word is Microsoft's word processing application. It provides users with professional and elegant documentation tools to help users save time and obtain elegant and beautiful results.

It provides many easy-to-use document creation tools and a rich set of functions to create complex documents. Even if you only use Word to apply a little text formatting or image processing, simple documents will become more attractive than plain text.

Functions of words

With Word, you can apply image effects to text. You can also apply formatting to the text to make it seamlessly integrate with the image. It is quick and convenient to operate, just a few clicks of the mouse.

With more options provided by Word, you can also add visual effects to the document. Choose from new SmartArt graphics and build impressive charts in minutes. The graphics function in SmartArt can also transform the text listed in the dotted sentence into eye-catching visual graphics.

Word can be used to centrally handle letters, official documents, reports, papers, business contracts, writing and typesetting.

Skills of using word template

1, automatic page turning

It is very troublesome to read long and repeated page turning in Word. In fact, the solution is very simple:

A. Open the file to be read in Word, and then select Tools/Macros/Macros.

B. In the pop-up dialog box, select Word command in the column of macro position, then select Auto Scroll in the macro name list box, and click Run.

C now, the mouse pointer will automatically jump to the scroll bar on the right. If the mouse pointer is at the top of the scroll bar, the page will turn up, at the bottom, the page will turn down, and in the middle, the page will pause. The closer the mouse is to both ends, the faster it scrolls. To turn off the automatic page turning function, just click the mouse and the mouse pointer will automatically return to its original position.

If you use this feature frequently, you can add it to the toolbar by selecting Tools/Customize, selecting the Commands tab, selecting all the commands in the Category column, and then dragging AutoScroll from the Commands box to the toolbar. Auto Scroll (A) appears on the toolbar. Click it to start the automatic scrolling function.

Auto-scrolling (a) takes up too much area of the toolbar. After dragging the toolbar, click Change Selection/Default Style. Since it has no special icon, you can click the change button icon to make a selection. If you still don't have a favorite style, you can click the edit button icon to draw one yourself. I'll draw an up-and-down arrow, which means it doesn't take up toolbar space.

2. How to adjust the distance between Chinese characters and English letters in WORD?

In Chinese WORD, there is generally a short gap between Chinese characters and English letters and numbers, which is generally the size of a space, but we can't delete it. For example, we enter "Chinese window"

The new feature of "98" lies between "Chinese" and "Windows" and between "98" and "Germany". Although this helps to highlight the difference between Chinese characters and English and make the document clear at a glance, sometimes we need to turn off this function. The way to turn it off is as follows:

A, press CTRL+A to select all documents;

B, select format/paragraph/other;

C in the other tab, uncheck the check box to the left of the options of "automatically adjust the spacing between Chinese and English" and "automatically adjust the spacing between Chinese and numbers" under the "Character spacing" setting box.

3. How to modify WORD spacing at will in Word?

It is not intuitive to modify WORD spacing in Word. Some users don't even know how to set word spacing, so they have to use the system default values. There are three types of word spacing: standard spacing, widened spacing and contracted spacing, in which the standard spacing is the default spacing, and its actual spacing is not fixed, but it is related to the font size in the document. "Widening" spacing means adding a user-specified value on the basis of "standard", and "tightening" means subtracting a user-specified value on the basis of "standard". Because "width" and "tightness" are adjusted on the basis of "standard", when the font size changes, the spacing will also be adjusted automatically, so that there will be no mismatch between the font size and the spacing.

The method of adjusting kerning is as follows:

A, selected text;

B, select the format/font, and select the character spacing tab;

C, select the appropriate type, and increase or decrease the spacing value in the spacing drop-down list. Just finalize it.

4. How to arbitrarily modify the line spacing in WORD?

There are many standard line spacing options in WORD. On the Indentation and Spacing Options page of Format/Paragraph, a list of spacing options is provided in the Spacing box. Including "single line spacing", "minimum line spacing" and so on. However, standard line spacing may not meet our needs. For example, when we want the line spacing to be as small as possible, using "minimum line spacing" can't meet the requirements. If you want to set the size of line spacing at will, you must set the line spacing to a fixed value, and then enter the number of points of line spacing at will in the Set Value dialog box on the right.
